The PC Decrapifier

PC World just did an article in the November 2007 issue of PC World called "Junkbusters!" The article talks about the PC Decrapifier and also includes a picture of yours truly. Of course this will sound biased, but this actually one of the better articles I've seen on the crapware problem. Jacobi in his article did some quantitative research to document how much crapware is installed by each OEM. I've seen a lot of articles on this problem, but I rarely see a publication take the time to do their own real research.

The results were very useful to me. It provides a good indication to me as to which PCs I need to focus on for the next release of the PC Decrapifier. So, stay tuned hopefully very soon you'll be seeing another release that specifically reduces the crap on the top machines from his list.
